Summer Lovin’ in Greece

Today I want to share with you the amazing experience I had in Greece with my family this past summer. We started our trip in Athens, the capital and largest city in Greece.
In Athens, a must see is The Acropolis, the most classic historical site. It has a great history and traditional Greek architecture. The most famous building is the Parthenon (building dedicated to the goddess Athena). The Acropolis museum is also a must see. The museum is filled with incredible monuments and old history. Close to the Acropolis there is an area called Plaka, there you will find tons of restaurants, boutiques and bars. As you sit outside at a restaurant, in the distance you can see the Acropolis. The view is unreal.
Another place we went was the island of Hydra. To get there we took a high-speed ferry (around €25) from the port of Athens. It took about 2h15min to get there. Hydra is one of the most gorgeous islands in Greece. There you are going to eat at amazing restaurants, shop at the cutest boutiques, and swim in the sky-blue water. No cars are allowed on the island, so people walk or use mules in the city as a form of transportation.
Our “last” destination was Trikeri (village in south Pelion). I say it in quotation marks because we spent six days there, but we traveled daily to other villages. In Trikeri, we ate extremely healthy. Most of the taverns offered Greek salad, eggplant, zucchini, and watermelon (a typical Greek dinner). Trikeri and its surrounding beaches are a wonderful place to swim. The crystal-clear, warm sea makes you want to stay there forever. In addition to the food and refreshing seawater, the sceneries were spectacular.
This was just a summary of our 10-day trip. Make sure to pack light if you go to Greece one day, it gets REALLY hot, I mean REALLY hot there. (We went in mid-August!)
I am also sharing with you some of the beautiful jewelry I bought there.
Enjoy the pictures. And don’t forget to comment. Your opinions are important to me!
