#OOTD – Taupe Green and Tassel

Hi guys, how was everyone’s weekend? Mine was pretty good. The weather was so nice on Saturday that all I wanted to do was to be outside. I spent the day with my hubby and baby in downtown Milwaukee. One of the things we did was to stop at my favorite local clothing store: Lizzibeth. I tried on so many things and I wanted to take everything home! This taupe green top caught my eyes as soon as I saw it. It is such a versatile top because you can wear it in summer and winter with a jacket on. It goes really nice with jeans, and slacks if you want to wear it to work. The tassel necklace is from Lizzibeth too. This necklace really compliments the outfit, adding a little sass. If you are not used to wearing long necklaces but like the way it looks, you should try layering long and short necklaces. When in doubt, wear one or two thin short necklaces with a thicker, longer one.

Como foi o final de semana de vocês? O meu foi bem gostoso. Finalmente esquentou por aqui no Sábado e o sol resolveu aparecer. O que eu mais queria era passar o dia na rua batendo perna e passeando. Eu, o meu marido, e Raphael fomos passear em Milwaukee. Passamos na minha boutique favorita que se chama Lizzibeth. Eu provei muita coisa e queria levar tudo para a casa, rs. Essa blusa verde taupe me chamou atenção assim que à vi. Ela é sem manga mas não da para perceber por causa da jaqueta. Essa blusa é muito versátil pois você pode usá-la tanto no verão quanto no inverno com uma jaqueta por cima. Ela combina muito com calça jeans e calça social se você quiser usar à trabalho. O colar de tassel também é da Lizzibeth. Se você não sabe como usar colar longo, tente usá-lo com sobreposição. Aposte em um colar longo com dois outros curtos, de preferência mais finos.

Burlee Australia

When it comes to dressing up in winter, what I like to look for is comfort and warmth. If I can add in some style, then it’s a win-win. These SoHo Nappa boots from Burlee Australia are not only warm, comfortable and super cute, but they also have a water resistant finish, so water shouldn’t damage the surface of the boots. Water resistant is a great selling point to me because of the weather here in Wisconsin (snowy, and sometimes rainy during the cold months). These boots are made with the highest quality materials, you can tell by just looking at the finish and feel of the boots. I haven’t had a pair of “uggs” in a while and I am absolutely in love with this one. Very different from normal “uggs”, this pair is quilted and the logo is made out of Swarovski crystals. I like wearing this type of boots with leggings and a long sweater. The outfit as a whole goes together really nice.

On a side note, I was browsing Burlee Australia’s website, and I came across a page that talks about how sheepskin boots were first introduced into the market, as well as the process of how the boots are made. I found it pretty interesting to learn that in Australia and New Zealand, the term “ugg” is a well-known standard description of sheepskin boots. Did you guys know that? No inverno eu busco muito o conforto na hora de me vestir. Essa bota Soho Nappa da Burlee Austrália não é apenas quente, confortável, e bonita, mas também tem um acabamento resistente à água protegendo que danifique a superfície da bota. Como aqui em Wisconsin (EUA) neva bastante e as vezes chove nos meses de frio, o fato dessa bota ser resistente à água é um grande plus para mim. As botas da Burlee Austrália são feitas com materiais de primeira qualidade, e você nota isso só de olhar e sentir o acabamento da bota. Eu estou apaixonada por essa bota, além dela ser feita com tecido de matelassê que é bem diferente das botas comuns, o logotipo é feito com cristais Swarovski. Esse tipo de bota eu gosto de usar com leggings e um sweater longo. O outfit num todo combina muito bem. Para quem não conhece esse tipo de bota “ugg” é muito comum aqui nos Estados Unidos. Tem gente que usa ela tanto no inverno quanto na primavera.

Casual but Cool!

Como foi o final de semana de vocês? O meu não foi muito agitado. Se bem que eu considero “agitado” quando eu tenho que correr pela casa atrás do Raphael que não para. Juro, ele não para mesmo. Rs. No final de semana uns amigos meus se reuniram para um aniversário de um amigo. Nada chique, bem casual. Eu escolhi esse outfit que foi perfeito para a ocasião. Essa blusa colorblock da Loft é super comfortável e versátil. Eu posso usá-la com calça jeans, shorts, leggings. Já que a blusa é mais soltinha eu quis usar uma calça jeans mais justa que veste que nem legging – aliás é assim que ela é chamada “denim legging”. Essa calça é um pouco justa no tornozelo, mas fora isso ela é bem comfortável. O que eu posso dizer dessa botinha de camurça? Eu não tiro ela do pé! Eu usa ela nonstop, vulgo sem parar! Infelizmente essa botinha está esgotada, mas eu separei outras opções para vocês conferirem.

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine wasn’t too busy. Although, I consider “busy” chasing my son around the house. He is everywhere, I swear! Ha. I was glad though that I found some time to take pictures of this outfit for you guys. I had a get together at a friend’s house this past weekend so I went with this casual but cool look, nothing too fancy, just perfect for the occasion. I love this colorblock bateau tee from Loft. It is very versatile because you can wear it with jeans, shorts, leggings. Since this top has a loose fit, I wanted to pair it with these jeans that fit like leggings. The jeans are from Loft too, they are a little tight on the ankle, but very comfortable otherwise. These booties, what can I say? I have been wearing them nonstop. Unfortunately they are sold out now at DSW’s website but I have selected other options for you bellow.

1.Distressed skinny jeans – Super in style, distressed jeans look cool on anyone who wants to look trendy. Wear it with heels, booties, flats, or sneakers.

2.Lace up heels – I love love love any shoes that has some type of lace. They look sexy and cool on your feet.

3.Fine knit sweater H&M – This knit sweater is a great bargain. It is lightweight and perfect for layering with other pieces.

4.Faux envelop clutch– An envelop clutch is a type of accessory that you can wear with a dressy or cool casual outfit.

5.Lace bra – Aerie has a great variety of lace bras. They come in so many different colors and styles. This type of lace bra is currently a big trend. Show off a lit bit of the lace for some sexiness.

How to Wear White in the Winter

Procurando inspiração para usar branco no inverno? Esse outfit pode te ajudar. Eu adoro usar esse combo branco de jaqueta e sweater. Ele dá uma aparência chique mas sem esforço. Essa jaqueta moto é antiga, mas eu separei outras opções abaixo para vocês. Para dar uma aparência mais cool, eu apostei nessa legging jeans verde musgo da GAP. Essa calça não tem zipper apenas um elástico na cintura e é extremamente confortável. Essa ankle boot de camurça veste super bem com uma calça reta ou skinny.

Need a little inspiration on how to wear white in the winter? Well, this outfit might do the trick. I love pairing a white sweater with a white jacket; it makes your outfit look effortless chic and stylish. This moto white jacket is from Brazil and I’ve had it for a while now however, I have selected a few other options for you at the end of this post. To give a little edge to this outfit I wore this cambridge green pair of legging jeans from GAP that has no zipper only an elastic band on the waist (extremely comfortable). Every since I got this pair of suede ankle booties at DSW I have been wearing them nonstop. Ankle booties go really well with straight and skinny ankle jeans.

The Best of 2015!

2015 foi um ano incrível para mim. Ano em que eu cresci como pessoa e aprendi mais sobre mim mesma. Ano onde eu aprendi a ser mais paciente e a me amar mais. Ano em que eu parei de me importar sobre coisas pequenas, e comecei a me concentrar mais no que é realmente importante na vida. 2015 é um ano que eu nunca vou esquecer. Meu filho nasceu! Ele é a melhor parte de mim e melhor bênção que eu poderia receber. Este ano também foi um ano em que vários dos meus familiares vieram para os EUA me visitar. Minha cunhada se casou com um cara incrível, fui ao Brasil para ver a minha prima casar, ganhei novos amigos e perdi alguns outros, eu comecei a fazer mais exercícios e também a cozinhar mais (essas são duas grandes realizações!). 2015 foi também um ano difícil para muitas pessoas em todo o mundo por causa das tragédias que aconteceram. Eu peço a vocês que rezem por essas pessoas! Rezem por um mundo melhor, que haja mais amor entre as pessoas e paz entre as nações.

Este é um pequeno resumo de algumas das melhores memórias que eu tenho de 2015.
2016, eu estou pronta para você! Estou pronta para novas aventuras e desafios, mais aprendizado e crescimento, mais amigos e risadas. Estou pronta para realizar novas metas e dar continuidade à antigas. Estou pronta para continuar tentando ser a melhor esposa, mãe, filha, irmã, cunhada, neta, e amiga de todas as pessoas que eu amo. Eu também estou pronta para este novo ano me surpreender.

Eu desejo à todos vocês meus queridos leitores um ano maravilhoso de muito amor, paz, energia boa, saúde e grandes realizações.

What an amazing year 2015 has been. This year I grew more as a person and I got to learn more about myself. A year where I learned to be more patient, to love myself more, to care less about little things, and to focus more on what’s really important in life. 2015 is a year I will never forget. My son was born! He is the best part of myself and best blessing I could ever ask for. This was also a year that several of my relatives came to the U.S to visit me. My sister-in-law got married to an amazing guy, my family and I went to Brazil to see my cousin get married, I gained new friends and lost some others, I started to exercise and cook more (these are two big accomplishments!). 2015 was also a hard year for many people across the world with all the tragedies that have happened. I ask you to pray for them! To pray for a better world, love between people, and peace across nations. This is just a brief summary of the best memories I have from 2015.
2016, I am ready for you! I am ready for new adventures and challenges, more learning and growing, more friends and laughs. I am ready to accomplish new goals, and some old ones. I am ready to keep trying to be the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and friend to all my love ones. I am also ready for this New Year to surprise me.

I wish all of you my dear readers a wonderful year filled with love, peace, good vibes, health and many accomplishments.

Cool and Casual with New Balance Sneakers

Um bom pair de tênis é obrigatório em qualquer closet especialmente se ele é estiloso como os da New Balance. Ótimo para bater perna no dia-a-dia os tênis da New Balance são confortáveis, lindos e estilosos. Foi difícil escolher o par perfeito pra mim, mas eu acabei comprando um numa cor neutra que “vai com tudo”. Esse é o New Balance 696 com acabamento de camurça e um pouco de brilho. Ele é perfeito para looks cools e casuais.

A good pair of walking shoes is a must in every closet especially if they come in style like these New Balance ones that I am wearing. Seriously, these are my new faves at the moment. We all have those days when we have to run errands, or simply want to walk around and feeling comfortable on our feet is a must. These New Balance shoes are perfect for your everyday wear. I honestly had a hard time choosing the perfect pair for me. I mean, there are so many cute ones that it was hard to decide. I chose a “go with everything” pair because it goes with most clothes. With a suede finish and a little bit of sparkle, this New Balance 696 is perfect for a casual and cool look.

Happy Friday, meus lindos leitores!

O final de semana está aqui e as minhas unhas estão prontas para desfilar. Eu estou apaixonada por essa cor de esmalte que eu comprei da Sally Hansen. Ela parece com cor de ameixa e acredite se quiser, eu não tinha nenhuma cor parecida. Essa cor é chique, vai com tudo, e é perfeita para o frio aqui no Hemisfério Norte. Para dar um brilho a mais eu passei esse top coat também da Sally Hansen. Como eu gosto das minhas unhas mais brilhantes eu sempre passo esse top coat que faz toda a diferença.

The weekend is here and my nails are ready for a spin. I got this new nail polish color from Sally Hansen that I am in love with. This color looks more like a plum color and believe it or not, I didn’t have anything like it in my collection of nail polish. This color is chic, goes with everything you wear, and it’s perfect for the cold weather. For a shinier look I applied a top coat strengthening from Sally Hansen as well. It does make a difference when you apply a top coat after you paint your nails. I like the shinier look so I always tend to use it.

Long Nights of Baby Teething

Essa semana o Raphael faz 9 meses. Não consigo acreditar como o tempo tá voando. Ser mãe tem sido a melhor coisa que já aconteceu comigo. A alegria que ele traz pra gente é enorme. Até agora, essa fase dos 8 meses tem sido a mais gostosa e mais longa das fases. Gostosa porque agora o Raphael está mais independente e respondendo as coisas. Ele engatinha para todo lado, olha quando a gente chama pelo nome dele, dá risada quando a gente ri. É incrível! Agora, as noites tem sido bem loooongas porque os dentinhos dele estão nascendo. Há noites que ele acorda quatro vezes e chora de dor. Pelo menos é o que parece. O Raphael está com dois dentinhos e o primeiro parece ter sido o que mais doeu para nascer. Várias noites eu tive que dar ao Rapha Tylenol de Bebê para aliviar a dor. Algumas noites parece ter ajudado pois ele não acordava tantas vezes. O que também ajudou muito ele foram esses brinquedinhos de morder e que você pode congelar. Eles são ótimos porque quando gelado ele ajuda a anestesiar a área da gengiva. Esses brinquedos de morder, seja de congelar ou não, ajudam também a romper a gengiva para o dentinho sair. Tadinho do meu pequeno, esse é só o começo, tem muitos outros dentes para nascer. Espero que com o tempo se torne menos doloroso.

Raphael turns 9 months this week. I can’t believe how time is flying. Being a mom has been the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. The amount of joy that he brings into our lives is tremendous. So far, I think this age has been the most fun and long for me. Fun because Rapha is more mobile now and he responds to so many things. He crawls everywhere, he looks at us when we call his name, he laughs when we laugh. It’s amazing! Now, we have been having very looooong nights because his teeth are coming in. I mean…there are nights that he wakes up four times and cries from pain. At least that’s what it seems like. Rapha has two teeth now and the first one was the worst. There were several nights that I had to give Rapha Baby Motrin to relieve pain. That worked for most of the time. I only know that because he didn’t wake up at night as many times when he had pain relief medicine. What helped Rapha during the day were freezeable chewing toys, which helped to numb the gum area. Chewing toys, freezable or not, are great too to help the tooth break through the gums. Poor little guy, there are many more teeth to come I hope it gets easier.
