2 years of blog! My journey as a blogger.

It seems like yesterday that I created Color Me Sassy. Two years have passed and so much has happened. I had ups and downs during my journey as a blogger. Several times I thought of giving up on my blog because I didn’t have time to write or I didn’t feel motivated. The reality is, to maintain a blog is not an easy task. It takes time and dedication to keep a blog running and keep in the reader’s attention. I often fall into the trap of comparing myself to other bloggers. This can hurt you a lot. When you begin to compare yourself with others you go into a state of negativity and begin to bring yourself down. If you are a blogger don’t fall into that trap. Stop looking at other blogs, stop thinking about what other people think of you, and remember that each person is different and has his/her own talent and personality. Be yourself and don’t envy others. I had this problem of comparing myself to others and I only let down myself down. When I overcame that phase, I became the positive person that I have always been and things got easier for me. On a positive note, my blog has brought me many opportunities. I got a seasonal job as a fashion stylist at a bridal magazine; I had the pleasure to work with brands; I became a better writer (my English writing skills are far better than they used to be); and I became more confident in myself. Having a blog sometimes can be a chore but when you enjoy what you do, it’s all worth it.

Today, I update the blog twice a week. When Raphael takes his nap in the afternoon, I prepare my posts for the blog. Rapha’s naps don’t last very long, but I’m creating a routine that I can fit my daily chores and the blog in my agenda.

I wrote this post from the bottom of my heart. I hope you all enjoy.

Xoxo

Congratulations on your 2-years of blogging – neighbor. I immediately recognized the third-ward in your photo. I worked there 7-years myself before moving to the burbs. Blogging consistently is tough. My current day job has zapped all of my energy and I’m on a blogging hiatus. Hopefully I will return soon. Looking forward to following your journey.

Thank you, girl! Yes that was at third-ward, I love hanging out in that area. It can definitely be hard to blog consistently, but with a battle plan and staying positive you can get there. I wish you luck! If you want to make your blog happen, go for it and don’t give up! Let me know when you start blogging again so I can check it out!
