JETTSET LOCAL – YOUR MILWAUKEE PASSPORT COUPON BOOK

by Gabrielle Loomis December 4, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

Meet Jettset Local! A Milwaukee company that will take you to the North Shore/Milwaukee area to taste new foods and explore fabulous beauty and wellness spots! When Jettset Local reached out to me to do a collaboration, I was really excited. I love a good excuse to go out to eat, especially to a new spot!

There are two kinds of passports you can purchase: Foodie Flight & Fab Flight. The Foodie Flight has 28 local restaurants and coffee shops that you can get $5 off a $10 purchase or $10 off a $25 purchase. This passport is worth $260 and you can purchase it for only $25! Foodie Flight passport is valid for all of 2018. A few of my favorite places included in this discount book are Sobelman’s, Fiddleheads Coffee, and Café Hollander. So far I got two stamps on my passport and $15 in savings, YAY!

Fab Flight will get you awesome deals on beauty salons, free yoga class, free haircut, free month membership at Orangetheory, discount on facials and much more! You can purchase it for $30 and it has a value of over $1,500. Fab Flight is also valid for all of 2018.

To be honest, I wouldn’t know many of these places if it wasn’t for my passport books. I love that I get to explore new places and get a discount on top of it. Win, win! Plus, you support local businesses which is one of the company’s goals. I haven’t used my Fab Flight yet but, I am for sure going to use to get a free haircut and a discount on pedicure before I go on vacation next month.

Go to www.jettsetlocal.com to see all the participating businesses! Foodie Flight or Fab Flight would we a great Holiday gift for a friend, family member or yourself!

Have an awesome week!

OFF THE SHOULDER BODYSUIT

by Gabrielle Loomis November 29, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

We have been lucky that the weather in the Midwest hasn’t been bad. It is the end of November and I am not wearing a winter coat. Yay!

Hellooo loves! Today I wanted to share this outfit with you. I love wearing bodysuits and pairing them with high waisted jeans. This combo looks cool together and makes you look slimmer. This off-the-shoulder bodysuit is from TOBI and they have it in 3 different colors. I got mine in size Medium but I could have got it in small. If you like bodysuits like I do, then check out TOBI. They always have the cutest ones.

THANKSGIVING RECAP

by Gabrielle Loomis November 26, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

SHOP THIS TOP HERE

This was a long and well spent Thanksgiving for our family. This year, my husband’s birthday fell on Thanksgiving day. We were all so excited that he was off on his birthday! We started the holiday celebrations on Wednesday by going out to dinner to an Italian restaurant. We had family in town and a few good friends come out with us. The next few days were spent by eating lots of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos…all the good stuff.

Something to think about…

We should always be thankful for what we have and not only during Thanksgiving. Sometimes we get distracted by the things going on around us and we forget to give thanks. Saying thanks and appreciating what we have should be done every day as a reminder of how life is good.

I had this outfit shot by  Katie Schubert (@katieschubert) last week. She is a local photographer/ blogger who did a phenomenal job taking photos for me.

I’ve worn this top from TOBI many times since I got it. It goes well with jeans or leggings and it’s very flattering. I like the wide neckline and the grey color. You can also wear it off-the-shoulder. Right now TOBI has 50% OFF sitewide so you can score this top for under $30. It also comes in two other colors: black and wine.

Enjoy your Sunday!

FAVORITE MUSTARD BLOUSE FOR FALL

by Gabrielle Loomis November 20, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

SHOP THIS BLOUSE HERE / MORE OPTIONS HERE WWW.TOBI.COM

Yellow mustard isn’t typically the kind of color that I buy for clothes. In fact, this might be the only thing I own in this mustard color. However, this top caught my attention when I first saw it. This color screams fall and it might be my new favorite. I also really love wrap blouses and dresses so this blouse was a win-win. Since I haven’t quite lost all the baby weight, I am still wearing leggings a lot. Only a few pair of old jeans fit me but are a little snug. I think it’s pointless to buy any new jeans right now since I am trying to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Back to this adorable blouse from TOBI, I think it’s the perfect one to wear during the Holidays. You can pair it with your favorite jeans or dress pants and heels. This top is a bit short so I wouldn’t recommend wearing it with low waist pants. Just for reference, I am wearing size small.

I wanted to give a big shout out to Katie Schubert (@katieschubert) who took those beautiful photos of me. Katie is a Wisconsin girl who is very talented and passionate about photography! Thanks, girl!

HOW TO WEAR SNEAKERS WITH NON-GYM CLOTHES

by Gabrielle Loomis November 15, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

I think I wear sneakers 80% of the time, either to run errands or go shopping. They are just comfortable and if you choose the “right” pair they can go along with jeans or even a dress. To me, there are two different kinds of shoes: gym shoes and non-gym shoes (sneakers). Sneakers, such as these New Balance shoes, look great with leggings or jeans. When you wear them, make a statement and show them off! You can wear jeans or leggings right above the ankle bone but, try not to show your socks! You can go a bit further and wear them with a casual dress or skirt! I am in leggings all the time so that’s what I usually wear my sneakers with. I like pairing them with a long and cozy cardigan.

I am really happy I found this pair of New Balance sneakers at SHOPKO.  New Balance is one of the great brands that SHOPKO is now carrying along with Cuisinart, A&I, Urbanology, and Nicole Miller. Whenever you make a stop at SHOPKO you should check out their new brands.

If you haven’t registered your email at SHOPKO.com, you should, because you will receive a $10 off of $30 on your next purchase.

by Gabrielle Loomis October 30, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

Hello loves!! I am getting really excited that the Holidays are coming up so fast! I’m also really anxious for a family vacation that we have planned in the first of the year! This January I turn the big 30 and my hubby “surprised” me with a trip to Hawaii! Now, imagine my excitement! I am counting down the days, Hawaii was always a place I wanted to visit. To properly prepare us for this awesome trip, I thought I would start with the basics, proper luggage! I recently went to Shopko (we have a store about 10 min away from our house) and I found this ultralight, 4 wheel spinner luggage from Shopko’s new and exclusive brand A&I. This suitcase is exactly the size that I was looking for. I am really impressed with how durable and lightweight it seems to be. I would definitely suggest this brand to anyone who is shopping around for a new suitcase. As far as price goes, I was able to score this one for $79.99! Also, Shopko has recently added A&I and Cuisinart to their stores and brands such as New Balance, Urbanology, and Nicole Miller have “new looks”.

Below are a few of the deals going on right now at Shopko!

Wantable STYLE EDIT

by Gabrielle Loomis October 9, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

Hi loves, I am pretty excited about today’s post! I partnered with Wantable to share with you my experience with their style edit. If you are not familiar with Wantable, this is a personal style subscription box.

HOW WANTABLE WORKS

It’s pretty simple the way it works. First, you choose a category: STYLE, FITNESS, MEN’S FITNESS; after you take a short style quiz so a stylist can hand-select pieces that you might like according to your style, size, and budget. In your box, you receive at least 5 items that you can try and keep the ones you love. You can also make requests. The items you don’t like you can send it back within 5 days. If you keep 5 or more items you get 20% off your total. You will only be billed for the pieces you keep, everything else you send it back with the shipping bag and return label provided by Wantable.

I was excited but a little nervous to see what was in my box. After all, the stylist select items according to the questionnaire. I have to say, my stylist nailed my taste! I kept this pair of distressed jeans, light wash denim jacket, and sleeves tee. Those are pretty much my staple pieces for fall. I sent it back one jacket and two dresses that didn’t look good on me.

If you ever dreamed of having your own personal stylist, then I would definitely check Wantable out! I had a great experience and recommend to anyone who wants help choosing an outfit without having to leave your house.

KINGDOM OF YOU BY WONDERBLY

by Gabrielle Loomis August 29, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

I think it is no surprise that I love the personalized books from Wonderbly. I recently partnered again with them to review another one of their books: Kingdom of You.

This book has a variety of personalization options. It goes beyond the child’s name. Whether they love pizza, ice cream, animals, superheroes or dinosaurs, each book can be created according to your child’s favorite things. Some of Rapha’s current obsessions are ice cream and dinosaurs. His face lits up when he sees “King Raphael” riding on the back of an Allosaurus. He goes “ROAARRR”. The illustrations are incredibly detailed. This personalized book is the perfect gift for someone you love.

Does your child have a copy of this book yet? Check out their website for other amazing books! www.wonderbly.com

PS: If you are familiar with those amazing personalized books, the brand just got rebranded. They are now called Wonderbly and not Lost My Name.

A SCARF FOR ALL SEASONS

by Gabrielle Loomis August 21, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! This last weekend was pretty quiet around here. We didn’t have any plans and it was great! I now got the “okay” from my doctor to go back to my regular routine after giving birth, this means I can start working out again!  So, that’s what I did. I am starting by taking it slow by going for long and fast walks. I am so ready to get back in shape and lose all the baby weight. Any other suggestions for getting back in shape after birth?

I wanted to share with you all this beautiful scarf from Roberta Designs that was inspired by an original painting.  She is local, super talented, and makes scarves that can be worn in all different seasons and occasions. This scarf is lightweight, very soft and versatile. I am taking advantage of the nice pool weather to wear this scarf as a beach coverup. I think this scarf looks chic and would be perfect for anyone to bring along on their next vacation. In the colder months, you can wear this scarf as a shawl, or traditional scarf. I think this is a great addition to a business casual outfit as well. Visit www.robertamdesigns.com  to see her other scarves. They are gorgeous!

Quiet Time with Lost My Name

by Gabrielle Loomis July 3, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

One of our favorite quiet time activities is reading a book. Rapha loves his books and he has a few favorites. When I read to him he always has a smile on his face. Reading is such an important part of children’s development. It helps stimulate children’s imagination, listening skills and so much more! That’s why we make reading a priority every day.

For Rapha’s second birthday, he got from his auntie the personalized book: The Little Boy Who Lost his Name. I had never heard about this book before and I was so happy she bought it for Rapha. We have read this book together multiple times. Rapha is only two and he may not get the meaning of the book but, for now, he loves the characters. Now that we have another little boy coming our way, I thought it would be nice if both my sons had this book. I am so passionate about this company that I am truly excited to have partnered with  Lost My Name to show you their incredibly creative personalized books for children!

The little Boy (Girl) Who Lost his Name is one of their most popular books! Your child’s name IS the story in this book! The little boy (girl) goes on an adventure collecting letters of his name and at the end when all the letters are put together he realizes that the letters spell his name! This book brings your child to their complete imagination. It’s super cool!

It is very easy to personalize this book. The website walks you through the steps. You can choose how the boy or girl will look like and what kind of characters you want to appear in the book. You can also click “preview” and see each page of the book. The quality and design (illustration) are absolutely beautiful. This book makes the perfect birthday gift to a child: different, beautiful and creative.

A few other awesome books that they have are:

The Birthday Thief: based on your child’s birth date.

The Kingdom of You: based on your child’s favorite things.

To order any of their books go to www.lostmy.name or click here.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend, loves!

Xx, Gabrielle

SHOP MY LOOK: PINK BLUSH FITTED DRESS | ESPADRILLE SANDALS

I love this dress from Pink Blush so much that I ordered another one in a different color. Have you ever done that? Ordered something in a different color because you loved so much? It’s always nice to find a piece of clothing that is flattering on your body and this dress definitely does that. Those espadrille sandals come in 3 different colors, this one is the blush suede. Those sandals are true to size and super cute to wear with dresses.

Sorry this is a short post today, I’ve been very busy getting ready for my family and my baby to arrive 🙂 Baby boy will be here in less than two weeks! We couldn’t be more excited!
