Cozy Sweater from Lou & Grey

by Gabrielle Loomis February 4, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

I always mention how I love wearing very cozy and comfy clothes, no matter the time of the year. This relaxed fit and cozy sweater from Lou & Grey is one of my new cozy favorites. As soon as I felt the fabric of this sweater in the store, I knew I had to try it on. The relaxed fit is nice for me because my baby bump is just going to get bigger!

This sweater is currently on sale, I think every girl could use one! I am wearing a small size. If you don’t like the relaxed fit you can always go a size down.

Peep toe booties from Steve Madden you can find here.

Have a good weekend, babes!

XO, Gabrielle

Shein is a great place to buy cool and inexpensive clothes. I’ve always been very happy with my purchases at Shein. The items always look true to the pictures and I always find something that I like on their website. I made a style wishlist with all items that I currently want that are under $50. I think this dress is darling and it would be perfect to wear at a casual wedding. The two sweaters are perfect to wear with jeans and for a night out with girlfriends. The suede jacket is in style right now and you can’t beat the price.

  1. Grey Sweater
  2. Black Cold Shoulder Sweater
  3. Pink Blush Dress
  4. Motto Jacket

Have a wonderful week, babes!

Classic High Heels

by Gabrielle Loomis January 18, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

How’s everybody’s year going so far? I just came back from Cali from a family vacation. I am happy to be in my own home but I miss the beach and the warm weather of the west coast.

I was going to wear this outfit on my birthday, last Friday the 13th, but my birthday plans changed and we didn’t end up going out at night. These classic and timeless heels are from Zooshoo and are to die for.  The brand is Steve Madden and we all know that he makes amazing shoes. These high heels are minimalistic and perfect for a night out. These heels are going fast on Zooshoo, so scoop them up before it’s too late. UPDATE: These heels are almost sold out but I found an identical pair from J. Adams here.

Zooshoo has a beautiful and wide selection of shoes. They are also pretty reasonable, I think you guys will like! Shop more shoes here.

Xoxo, Gabi

Embroidered Blouse

by Gabrielle Loomis January 4, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

I really love this kind of flowy blouse to wear with jeans. This embroidered blouse from Make Me Chic is so rich in detail that I didn’t feel the need to add a lot of accessories. Recently, I have been seeing a lot of embroidery on jackets, jeans, dresses, and blouses. I love how that can add so much beauty and feminism to the garment.

I wore this outfit for an outing with my husband last weekend. I did have a winter jacket over the blouse but, ended taking it off for pictures.

Outfit Details: Make Me Chic Blouse | Loft Jeans

Gabi

Casual Outfit with Make Me Chic

by Gabrielle Loomis January 3, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

Hello, everyone! Our San Diego trip is right around the corner. I am finishing packing today and getting ready to leave. I hope Rapha does well on the plane, fingers crossed!

Today, I want to share this fun casual look with you. Crisscross tops are really in style right now and I think that adds a lot of detail to the tops. I love how I can wear this long sleeve top from Make Me Chic with leggings, high waisted jeans, or a cute skirt. Since it’s cold here in Wisconsin I decided to pair this top with a cardigan and my peep toe booties. The cardigan over the top is a must for extra warmth. This is a very fun outfit to wear on a dinner date.

More Make Me Chic outfits here

Outfit details: Cardigan | Peep Toe Booties

Sporty Outfit

by Gabrielle Loomis January 2, 2017
written by Gabrielle Loomis

Happy New Year loves! Can you believe today is January second? I mean…Christmas and New Years flew by and now we are ready for a new chapter, a new year, new goals and new memories. I am so excited for what this year has in store for us. I’m kicking in the new year in with this cozy, kind of sporty outfit. I got this incredibly comfy hoodie from Shein and I’ve been wearing it nonstop. This hoodie is medium size, lightweight, and the fabric feels very comfy. Since I’m constantly running errands with my son, I like to wear something comfortable and nice looking.

You guys have seen me wear these New Balance sneakers a lot. These shoes are my fave, gray is a great neutral color that goes with anything. This Fossil purse (similar here) is small and easy to carry around.

This hoodie is serious find, you guys should check it out.

Xoxo,

Gabi

Tips for Setting Goals for the NEW YEAR

by Gabrielle Loomis December 30, 2016
written by Gabrielle Loomis

This time of the year I always get emotional. I think about all the blessings that God has given me and I also think about my family in Brazil and how I miss them. This is also the time when I think about what I’ve accomplished and what I haven’t, so I like to sit down and write attainable goals for the New Year, 2017 in this case. I like to write realistic goals that can actually be accomplished. I look back at this whole past year and write down the things that I need to improve in general, and the things that I didn’t do but I said I would.

In case you are wondering what my goals are for 2017…

Some of my goals for the new year: I want to cook more and eat healthier. I want to grow my audience on Instagram by 65k. I want to attend church at least twice a month. I want to be more organized and use an agenda every day to write things down. I also want to get better at taking pictures and using Adobe Lightroom.

When you put a number to your goal it makes it more attainable. For example, achieve 65k on Instagram by the first week of December. Or, drink 6 cups of water every day. Instead of: drink more water and grow Instagram followers.

Here are some tips for setting goals for the new year:

Create a list, similar to the one bellow, with things that you want to improve/ change in your life.

Body: Exercise, weight loss, healthy habits, yoga.

Family: Relationships, children, friends.

Personal Development: Education, reading, career change, learn a new skill.

Home: Organizing, cleaning, cooking.

Finance: How to save money and how to spend less.

Hobby:  join an exercise class, read, and watch a movie.

Job: Find a new job or work towards a promotion.

These are a few of the most common things to think about when setting your goals. You can write your own or add to this list. The next step is to add the steps that you need to take to achieve your goals. It could be that you need to wake up earlier to do so and so or plan your meals in order to eat healthier. What steps are you going to take to make the change and achieve that goal that you so want to accomplish?

The next step is to set a time, a deadline. This will help if you are a procrastinator. It’s very helpful to write goals and deadlines on a calendar or agenda as a reminder.

If you have a dream you want to accomplish in the near future, write that down! That’s your reminder of what you are fighting for.

The last thing I like to do is have a collection of positive and motivational phrases that I can look at when I feel like I am “drowning.” I tend to save a lot of those kinds of phrases on Pinterest so I can look at them anytime I want.

I hope every each one of you have an amazing new year and that you all fight for your dreams!

PS: I found this 2017 Planner at TJ.Maxx and it was only 7 dollars. That’s a great place to buy an inexpensive planner. They had tons of options, from smaller to big thick planners.

Love,

Gabrielle

Peep Toe Booties: 5 Pairs to Die for

by Gabrielle Loomis December 27, 2016
written by Gabrielle Loomis

This is my first pair of peep toe booties. I was waiting to find the perfect pair until I found the one in the picture above. I stumbled upon this pair online at DSW and I had to get them. I ended up getting these shoes in a suede olive color.  I wore them a little bit at home and I was surprised how comfortable they are. I may not be able to wear these booties outside right now, but I plan on wearing them like crazy when I go on vacation to California next week, uhul! I selected 4 other pairs of peep toe booties, including mine, that are to die for.

1. Nordstrom Sam Edelman

2. DSW: Steve Madden

3. Macy’s: Steve Madden

4. Nordstrom: Marc Fisher

5. Nordstrom: Vince Camuto

Ruffle Top

Hi, babes! I cannot believe how time is flying. I feel like yesterday we were talking about Black Friday and now we are only a few weeks away from Christmas. I am more excited about the Holidays this year because my son is a little bit older to understand and enjoy this beautiful season. I tell you one thing, I am not excited that he is trying to take all the Xmas ornaments down from the tree but, haha, it’s okay.

On another note, this ruffle top from Romwe is only $11,99 and so dang cute. I paired this top with a long cardigan because it’s getting cold here in the Midwest. This top is a little cropped so I would wear it with high waisted jeans.

Get this Romwe Top Here

Have a wonderful week, loves!

There is no denying that a chunky sweater is a great item to wear this season. They are cozy, warm and never lose their charm. That rhymed! This oversized sweater from Romwe is a little bit browner than it looks on the website. It comes only in one size and is a little big on me but, it’s very cozy so I really don’t mind. This sweater is only $24.99 and is perfect to wear in any cold weather.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend!

Gabrielle
